This morning, as I crossed paths with my wife in the bathroom(washroom), she greeted me with "Good morning," then casually added, "Thank you for everything, dear." It was at that moment that I remembered it was Father's Day.
To maintain harmony at home, I always set multiple reminders for my wife's birthday and Mother's Day to ensure I don't forget. Yet, I admit, Father's Day has never really been on my radar.
Nevertheless, to receive such heartfelt words, especially when least expected, is quite a warm feeling. It provides a sense of relief and comfort. Even though I'm not my wife's biological father, the sentiment was deeply appreciated.
So, as a result, our family ended up dining out today.
