"Anything is Fine!" (August 8, 2022)

While on a walk just moments ago, I was passed by a mother and child riding a bicycle. The mother, a sturdy woman evoking images of a sumo wrestler, had her young son, who appeared to be of kindergarten age, sitting brightly behind her.

"Sweetie, what would you like for dinner tonight?" she asked.

Matching the zest kids show when raising their hands in class, the boy swiftly raised his arm, declaring, "Anything's fine!"

"Alright then," replied the mother.

After a short pause, as she parked her bicycle in front of a supermarket, she murmured to herself, "Saying 'anything' really is the most perplexing answer."

I found myself chuckling at the scene.
